NSW Waratahs scrumhalf Jake Gordon has joined the Qantas Wallabies Mitsubishi Estate Ireland Series squad after Will Genia underwent surgery on a fractured arm.

Gordon returned from Japan this morning after playing for the Waratahs in an exhibition game against NEC Green Rockets in Tokyo yesterday.

The 24-year old is yet to earn his first Test cap, after his initial squad call-up a year ago during the 2017 June Series.

Meanwhile, Genia had surgery yesterday and is expected to miss six weeks after fracturing his arm in a collision during the first half at AAMI Park.

The Mitsubishi Estate Ireland Series is now poised at one-all following Ireland’s five-point win in Melbourne last Saturday.

This Saturday night’s Series decider at Allianz Stadium in Sydney is already sold out with the Lansdowne Cup on the line.

FOX SPORTS will showcase every match of the Mitsubishi Estate Ireland Series LIVE with no ad-breaks during play and in HD.

All matches will also be screened LIVE and free in HD on TEN and WIN Network and streaming on tenplay.com.au
