Rugby Australia has confirmed the countdown has started for opening Test of the eToro France Series at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, 7 July.

The Test opener will go ahead as planned but due to the COVID-19 lockdown in the Greater Brisbane area, Rugby Australia will make a decision on the timing for the release spectator tickets for the July 7 game as soon as practical and with the guidance of Queensland’s Chief Health Officer.

If crowds are permitted, everyone attending the event will need to check in using the QR Codes at the venue.

Rugby Australia will also confirm special ticket offers for the opening Test, should crowds be permitted, including a two-for-one ticket offer for the clash on Wednesday 7 July.

Rugby Australia Chief Executive Officer Andy Marinos said the health and safety of our fans, staff, players, and the wider community was Rugby’s absolute priority.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our respective governments for their tireless efforts in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all Australians,“ Marinos said.

“To fans across Australia, we’re thinking of you during this time and I know the team is desperate to get out there and make you proud of their performance on the field.

“We really appreciate your patience.

“Our priority is to ensure the Test matches celebrate the strength of our great global game.

“Australia’s men in gold are ready, so we look forward to seeing you there with them across the country.

“We’re looking forward to doing our talking on the field.”

Tickets remain on sale for the other two fixtures of the eToro France Series at AAMI Park (13 July) and Suncorp Stadium (17 July) via Ticketek.
