Saturday's final Test between the Wallabies and British & Irish Lions is far from a dead rubber, according to Wallabies lock Nick Frost, with the side desperate for one last shot at the visitors.

The British & Irish Lions series is already wrapped up after a wild and controversial second Test in Melbourne, with the visitors securing the last-minute win.

It's left the Wallabies hurting and hungry for another shot at them, knowing they were moments away from levelling the series as they seek to prevent a clean sweep.

"Any game you play, especially for your country, any test match is big to get up for. So we're really looking forward to the weekend," Frost said.

"There's a bit of fire in the belly from the last couple of games, and you're playing in Sydney, for a lot of the boys, that's [their] hometown. You're playing for your nation, playing for your family first and foremost too."

Saturday's Test looms as the last chance the Australians will have to face the Lions, with the next series not scheduled until 2037.

"It's our last time, unless you're James Slipper, to play against them," Frost joked.

"It's a really cool experience for a lot of the boys who ever get a pull on that jersey."

For the Wallabies, the schedule beyond the Lions series is far from easy, if not as demanding.

They will begin their Rugby Championship schedule with two Tests in South Africa against the world champions Springboks, before facing Argentina, who beat the Lions in Dublin, in two home Tests.

The Bledisloe Cup follows, with the Wallabies set for a jam-packed Spring Tour that includes a rematch with England and Ireland, along with France and Italy.

Frost knows that a win against the Lions will solidify their belief and the growing support around the team, following Saturday's sensational performance in defeat.

“It is a process...we've got the Lions series, which unfortunately is lost now, but we're still got a match ahead. We've got the Rugby Championship. We've got all these things looking ahead and then even down the track is that Home World Cup," he said.

" I think it's great to see everyone out and about and some more positivity about the team playing well, us as belief of what we can do and just the general public, especially for that 2027 World Cup."
