Issak Fines-Leleiwasa
Issak Fines-Leleiwasa has bolted into contention for a dream Wallabies call-up after a stunning finish to the Super season with the Force.
Fines-Leleiwasa is a late bloomer to Super Rugby, winning a title with Brisbane club Sunnybank to go with the 2016 Alec Evans Medal as Player of the Year.
Strong performances in the NRC and the Force in Global Rapid Rugby caught the eye of the Brumbies, where he made his Super Rugby debut in 2020. He served his time under Nic White before making the move west to the Western Force.
The appointment of Simon Cron brought the best out of the livewire, providing a real point of difference with his electric speed.
It caught the eye of Jones and Australia A selectors and he was included for their Test against Tonga. He nearly produced a match-winning performance off the bench, before the team narrowly went down.
This was enough for Jones, who has Fines-Leleiwasa in line for a fairytale debut at the Rugby World Cup.
