The Wallabies have defeated Uruguay 45-10 in their third Rugby World Cup 2019 clash at Oita Stadium in Oita on Saturday.
The men in gold ran in seven tries to Uruguay's one on the way to a crucial bonus-point win with one Pool D clash remaining.
Tevita Kuridrani and Dane Haylett-Petty both registered doubles for the Wallabies, while teenage sensation Jordan Petaia scored on debut and prop James Slipper finally broke through for his maiden Test try in his 94th appearance for Australia.
While the Wallabies eventually pulled away in the second half, they were frustrated by the South Americans who held them to three first half tries and had a potential try of their own disallowed on the stroke of half time.
It was a much more composed Wallabies to start the second half after going into the sheds 19-3 up, as the Australians added a further three tries in the opening 20 minutes to put the result well beyond doubt.
Brumbies centre Kuridrani was named Australia's best for his pair of tries and barnstorming carries, however it was rookie Jordan Petaia who owned the limelight in a glittering first half performance on the left wing.
Petaia spun over the line off an inside ball from Kurtley Beale to score next to the uprights at the 24-minute mark, and 10 minutes later set up Kuridrani for his first before being replaced after half time as the Wallabies coaching staff manage his return to action from a hamstring injury.
But by far the biggest cheer of the afternoon came after Slipper, who had spent almost three years in the Test wilderness before being recalled for the Wallabies during The Rugby Championship this year, after the veteran prop crashed over from close range for Australia's final try of the day.
Jack Dempsey was another who impressed, starting his first Rugby World Cup match in the number six jersey with a series of strong ball carries including one where he bumped off several defenders to put Will Genia over for a second half try.
The Wallabies will face a shorter turnaround for their final pool match, against Georgia on Friday, needing a win to secure a place in the knockout stage of the tournament.
