Rugby Australia and the NSW Waratahs are thrilled to announce Angus Bell has re-committed his future with Australian Rugby through to the end of 2027.
The loosehead prop made both his Wallabies and Super Rugby debuts in 2020 and has gone on to wear the gold jersey on 20 occasions, earning his first start against England at Twickenham in 2021.
At just 22 years of age, Bell is a product of the NSW and Australian Rugby pathways, having been part of the 2019 Junior Wallabies campaign that fell one hurdle short at the Under 20s World Championships in Argentina.
Son of Wallaby number 729, Mark Bell, Angus also captained the Australian Schoolboys and Under 18s in 2018.
Bell's re-signing is another significant milestone for Australian Rugby, as he becomes the second Wallaby, after Allan Alaalatoa, to sign through for both the 2025 British and Irish Lions series and the 2027 home Rugby World Cup.

“The Waratahs is like a second home to me and where I started my professional career. I’ve got long family ties here, with my dad also playing for the Waratahs, so it’s pretty special for myself and my family that I’ll continue to wear sky blue.
“It’s an exciting time for the Waratahs and Rugby in Australia and I’m looking forward to continuing to do my best for both the Waratahs and the Wallabies.”
Wallabies head coach Eddie Jones said: “Angus is a promising young player and his long-term commitment to Australian Rugby is a real positive for the game and its supporters.”
"He has the potential to be an important part of this year's World Cup campaign and we’re looking forward to him working hard at Super Rugby level.
“He’s born-and-bred Sydney and a real example of the pathway systems working in Australia.”
NSW Waratahs head coach Darren Coleman said: "Angus is a special player, and he's an important part of our plans for the future."

The Waratahs open their Super Rugby Pacific campaign this Friday 24 February at Allianz Stadium against the Brumbies.
