Kalani Thomas is a livewire scrumhalf who has toiled his way behind Reds skipper Tate McDermott to get his chance in gold.
Thomas first emerged on the radar in 2019, as part of the Australian Schoolboys team that ended a seven-year drought against their NZ counterparts during an unbeaten tour.
He debuted as a teenager in 2021 in a dream season that saw him throw the final pass to hand Queensland the Super Rugby AU title in front of a packed-out Suncorp Stadium.
Whilst his starts have been limited, Thomas' impact off the bench caught the eyes of AUNZ selectors, coming off the bench against the British & Irish Lions in Adelaide.
The Ipswich product was called into the Wallabies squad for the Bledisloe Cup after Nic White's retirement, in line for his debut during the Spring Tour.
