Pierre-Henry Broncan

Pierre-Henry Broncan played senior rugby in the French Pro D2 / Top 16 with US Montauban, and AS Béziers. After he retired in 2006, Broncan moved into coaching in the second division of South-West France, at Blagnac Sporting Club Rugby (2006/07) and guided the club’s promotion to Pro D2. Broncan then succeeded his father Henry at the helm of Football Club Auch Gers (2007/08 to 09/10) before he moved to Stade Aurillacois (2009/10 to 10/11). In 2011 Broncan took charge of Colomiers (2011/12), and again achieved elevation into the Pro D2 league. From there, Broncan took the reins at Stado Tarbes Pyrénées (2012/13 to 14/15). Broncan was then recruited Bordeaux-Bègles (2014/15) as head of recruitment and training before he became defence coach of Stade Toulouse for three seasons (2015/16 to 2017/18). Broncan crossed the Channel to work under All Black Todd Blackadder at Bath (2018/19 to 2019/20). He returned to France in 2020 at Castres Olympique (2020/21 to 2022/23) where he held positions in recruitment, defence coach and then as head coach. In 2021/22 Broncan took CO to the final of the French championship final where they were beaten 10-29 by Montpellier.
